MetroGet believes that every second counts when you're on the move. That’s why we’ve built a "Smart Search" engine that understands how commuters actually think and type.

If you're still typing out full station names, you're doing it the long way! Here’s how to use our hidden search shortcuts to plan your journey in half the time.

The Power of Initials (Acronyms)

Our engine automatically generates searchable initials for every station. Instead of typing the full name, just enter the first letter of each word:

  • NDLS → New Delhi Railway Station
  • GTB → Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar
  • NPS → Netaji Subhash Place
  • AIIMS → All India Institute of Medical Sciences
  • ISBT → Kashmere Gate (Inter-State Bus Terminus)

We Remember the Old Names (Aliases)

Metro stations change names often. If you’re used to the old names, don’t worry. You can search using historical names or popular aliases:

  • HUDA → Millennium City Centre Gurugram
  • MCC → Millennium City Centre Gurugram
  • IGI → Indira Gandhi International Airport
  • IIT → Indian Institute of Technology

Smart Abbreviations & Typo Tolerance

We handle common abbreviations automatically. Searching for "sec 21" will match "Sector 21", and "ngr" will match "Nagar".

Forgot spaces? No problem. Typing "gtbnagar" or "rajivchowk" still resolves instantly.

Numbers Speak Louder Than Words

If you search for "Sector 51" on basic apps, you may see irrelevant results like Sector 14 or 15 first.

MetroGet prioritises numbers heavily. The "51" gets strong weight, so exact matches rise to the top immediately.

Natural Phrasing Detection

Searching "51 Noida" vs "Noida 51" often gives inconsistent results elsewhere.

MetroGet detects natural phrasing and gives a subtle order bonus to correctly structured queries, ensuring the most human-like result ranks first.
