FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Here are answers to the most common questions about using HORSESHOESHIPSTON, your free global online radio directory. If you don't find what you're looking for, feel free to contact us.

Is HORSESHOESHIPSTON free to use?

Yes! HORSESHOESHIPSTON is completely free for listeners. You can browse, search, and listen to thousands of radio stations from around the world with no registration or subscription required. We never charge for access.

How do I listen to a radio station?

Simply browse or search for a station by genre, country, language, or name. Click on the station card or play button — the stream should start automatically in your browser. Most stations work best on desktop or mobile browsers with updated audio support (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.). No additional software is needed.

Why won't a station play / Why is the stream buffering or offline?

Radio streams are hosted by third-party broadcasters, not by us. Common reasons include:

  • The station may be temporarily offline or experiencing technical issues.
  • High listener demand causing server overload.
  • Geographic restrictions or licensing limits in your region.
  • Browser ad-blockers or VPNs interfering with the stream.

Try refreshing the page, switching to another station, or checking back later. We update listings regularly to remove consistently broken streams.

Can I submit my own radio station to HORSESHOESHIPSTON?

Yes! We welcome submissions from broadcasters worldwide. Go to the Submit Radio page, fill out the form with your station's name, stream URL, genre, country, description, and logo (optional). We'll review and add it if it meets our guidelines (publicly accessible stream, active, and appropriate content).

How often do you update the station listings?

We continuously monitor and update our directory. New stations are added daily from submissions, and we regularly check for dead links, genre changes, or offline stations to keep the list accurate and useful.

Do you host the audio or music yourself?

No. HORSESHOESHIPSTON is a directory and link aggregator only. We provide links to third-party radio streams hosted by the stations themselves. We do not store, upload, or broadcast any audio content.

Why are there so many genres / countries / languages?

Our goal is to showcase the incredible diversity of global radio! We cover everything from mainstream Pop and Classical to niche categories like Reggae, African Music, Ambient, Chillout, and rare languages such as Welsh, Icelandic, or Gaelic. Explore freely — there's something for every taste and culture.

Can I listen on my phone or smart speaker?

Yes — our site is fully mobile-responsive, so it works great on smartphones and tablets. For smart speakers (Alexa, Google Home, etc.), you can often play stations by saying the station name if it's popular or use browser casting from your phone/computer. Some stations are also available on apps like TuneIn if you search there.

Is there an app for HORSESHOESHIPSTON?

Currently, we are a web-based platform with no dedicated mobile app. However, you can add our site to your phone's home screen for quick access (via browser "Add to Home Screen" feature), and it works almost like an app. We may release native apps in the future — stay tuned!

How do you make money if it's free?

We keep the service free by displaying non-intrusive ads (banners or occasional sponsored spots) and through potential affiliate partnerships with streaming providers. Your listening experience remains our top priority — no paywalls or forced sign-ups.

I found inappropriate / broken / spam content — what should I do?

Please report it! Use the "Report" button (if available on the station page) or email us at contact@horseshoeshipston.com with the station name/URL and details. We review reports quickly and remove violating listings to maintain a clean, family-friendly directory.

Can I use HORSESHOESHIPSTON commercially or embed stations on my site?

For personal, non-commercial use: yes, enjoy freely. For embedding players or commercial use (e.g., on your website, app, or business), please contact us first — some streams have licensing restrictions, and we can guide you or provide API options if available in the future.
